Today’s service is a special one for me for I have wanted to do this for some time. I have
always been blessed by my brother’s God given talent as a song writer and wanted
an opportunity to share it with the congregation. But there is more to it than that. You all
know how I feel about family and current situations such as my health issues have helped
me all the more appreciate what I have in my family. Bill and I have always been close
and I believe we always will be and the opportunity to be in
worship with his family is a blessing indeed.
I know that my family is no more special than anyone else, that is except to me, and
I do not want to sound as if I feel we are. However, family, I believe, can be
our greatest gift in this life, it certainly has been for me. To help put my feelings about how
important family is, I site this one thing. When God established mankind on the earth,
the first thing he established was family, the church came much later. My
prayer for all is that their family is as valuable to them as mine has been to me.
