Recently at Bradleyville School we were informed that a grant application that was
written by myself and a couple of helpers had been approved and we will be receiving
a sizeable amount of money to set up a preschool.  Now that was good news and we
were all celebrating, because this was a very good thing for the community.   But
another reason for celebration is that out of many, many applications, only eight public
schools in the state were accepted for the grant.  However, just as I was feeling pretty
good about this, it hit me that now the work was to begin.  We must hire the best
applicant, get a facility set up to meet all the many qualifications set by the health
department, the Department of Education, the Bureau of Child Care and I am sure a
couple of bureaus I haven’t heard from yet.  Finally, we must enroll enough children
and get it all up and running in a couple of months or we might lose the grant
completely.  No time to celebrate more work to be done.

This is somewhat like church work.  We may have good things happen and see a
great plan unfold, but as each new door opens more work is to be done.  So after
a brief celebration, it is back at it again.
