Next Sunday, August 31 during the morning worship service, we will have a very special

service in which we will see a slide show about the mission work going on in Peru .  The

pictures used in the show will be those which were taken during our trip in June.  As you

see the work there, you will appreciate many things.  First of all, I think you will

appreciate the great country in which we all live and the way God has blessed us.  Secondly,

you will appreciate Phil and Marlene and the good work that they have been doing in

Peru and in other countries for many years for our Lord.  Thirdly, I hope you will

appreciate the good people in Peru who work so hard to make a living and at the

same time have such a zeal for God’s work and the spreading of his word.  But

finally, I hope you have a great appreciation for the people themselves who

struggle just to meet the basic needs of life and yet seem to keep such a happy and

joyful attitude.  I found all these things there and I hope next Sunday to share them.
