1/30/05Today I am filling in for the Principal at the school because he is away at a meeting. It justso happens that the Superintendent is also gone so if a difficult decision arises thatmust be made quickly, it falls on me. Several people have already asked me ifI am the “man in charge”, to which I find some way to say yes without it soundinglike I am taking undue joy in being in that position. It is an unusual situationand it has to be handled more delicately than it would seem on the surface.
Life continually hands us situations in which we must react and the decisionsas to how we react are often quite complicated. The reason for this is that theeffects of those decisions and also the way we seem to approach those decisionswill directly effect how people feel about us and in some cases, our future inthat particular job or life setting. It is in these times that I find that the rule of “Doingunto others….” Is still the very best rule to follow. The Christian ruleswe were given are more than just good, they are ingenious.Bob
