1/2/05When we celebrated Christmas here at my home with Bobbie’s folks and my childrenand grandchildren, we had a wonderful time. After lunch, the children openedtheir gifts and Trace, my youngest grandson, had one very special present thatall of us went together to purchase. It is an electric four-wheeler that he canride with a little trailer to pull behind. To say the least, he was very excited andpleased. Later that afternoon, he came over to me as I sat on the couchand with outstretched hands and wide blue eyes said, “Poppy, Santa won’tneed to bring me anything now because I have everything!” Itold him he was truly very fortunate, but I thought Santamight just have more for him.
The simple truth that is spoken by a child is more profound than all the well-spokenphrases of man. So I say to my father, “Thank you God for what you have givenme, because, I too have everything!” And the beauty is that, like Trace, God has more for me yet.Bob
