I was told this week of one of the soap operas that has a murderer in the plot.  Now this is not exactly

a new idea for a Soap to have a murder, but it seems this one is killing off several of the characters.  According

to an article that the person who told me about this was reading, the reason is that the difficult

economy has forced the industry to cut pay roll so they are doing it by simply killing

off the characters in the story.  HOW’S THAT FOR A METHOD OF CUTTING THE PAYROLL? 

            It is interesting how that this time of year is a good time and a bad time all at the same time.  People

are probably spending more than ever but it still makes it difficult to meet budget in some businesses.  This

is true of the church.  People give to charities and good causes more this year than any other time and that is

good.  The problem is that they often do not give more, they only redirect what they usually give to

the church.  Giving is good, but is it really giving if it is money that is only redirected?
