As of today, I lack one week finishing up all my classes for my Master’s Degree in Educational
Administration.  This week one of the other students I have had class with was talking
to me about how much longer I had to finish and I told him.  He then said
to me, “Man you sure are lucky!”  And waved good-bye as he walked out the door.  It
was all I could do to keep from running down the hall, through the door after him and yelling,
“Lucky! What do you mean, lucky?”  For even though I have been fortunate to be
able to schedule and complete this entire program in 13 months (something that most
people do in 18 – 24 months), I wanted him to know it was due to hard work writing
papers, reading books and utilizing every spare minute of my time in order
to keep up that had gotten me to that point, not luck!

Actually, very few things of value come in life due to just luck, some maybe, but very few.
So is the case in the growth of a church also.  It takes God’s blessing to make it happen,
but most often he blesses our efforts and hard work.
